"MBN24 have been working on a new niche directory/search engine aimed squarely at the digital music industry. Though still in the development phase, Buzzsonic.com are building the biggest, most relevant and current music industry directory on the web. MBN24.com already run one of the biggest music industry directories on the web at Floorelevators.net.

Buzzsonic will be an expansion on the more narrow focused directory at Floorelevators and will have areas for P2P research papers, music technology, DJ tech, downloads, record labels, distribution, remixing and music industry resources. Editor Eugene Murphy said, ” As much as we love using Google (and we use it daily) the problem is that the search results are not compiled by humans, they are wildly irrelevant at times and there are just too many. We aim to concentrate on quality of results and relevance rather than quantity, which you can only really nail down to a tee using human editors. The downside is its very time consuming but we are aiming the site at people researching music industry stuff, students, unsigned bands, editors and the like . Essentially its going to be a time saver. For instance we’ve hunted down 100s of pages of PDF studies on P2P research and things like that which will be a great help to music biz students studying that kind of thing."
