Acknowledging the deepest, most powerful statement in jazz on what would have been @johncoltrane 91st birthday today. Some years back, I had the privilege of attending a party at the loft of tenor sax master Joe Lovano. At the time, I was trying to more deeply understand ‘A Love Supreme’ and we discussed it in depth. His recommendation: stop studying it…just hear it as fully and truly as you can. Solid advice. About this album, and about life in general. A masterpiece of a record that belongs in every collection. This is Analogue Productions 2010 45RPM reissue AIPJ 77, AS-77, stereo. #jazzandcoffee #johncoltrane #vinyl #jazz #vinylporn #vinyligclub #nowspinning #joelovano
